New Portfolio (PDF) •  Wednesday, May 24, 2006

As of last night, my new PDF portfolio is available.

It categorizes all of my graphic design from 2004 up to and including all current designs.

I’m also working on a web portfolio that will include working previews of the designs (in the original XHTML/HTML/CSS form), so look for that.

For the portfolio, visit http://www.comitar.com/chris/portfolio.pdf.

Michael Moore - Revealed •  Sunday, May 21, 2006

Woo, I’m happy!

At comitar, we’re in the process of restoring one of our lost classics, Michael Moore Revealed. This was one of our first uses of Green Screen (I think our first, but it might have been stickman) so this was a big point for us.

It was also an interesting political step. Now we just have to edit it all together and go from there.

Yay!

Slacking - Movie Quickies •  Wednesday, May 17, 2006

Okey, I have a few movie I want to star quickly. I haven’t had time or energy to write full reviews (school and new project take up lots of time) so here are quicky stars.

Crimes and Misdemeanors
[rate 4]
My first Woody Allen film. :-) Thanks, TCM! Nice editing, I liked Alan Alda in it, Woody Allen, neurotic as usual. The story got confusing at times, hence the rate-down.

UNITED 93
[rate 5]
Very well done and emotional film by Paul Greengrass. Grading, editing, pace, everything about this film made it a very thoughtful (correct word?) experience.

The Day the Earth Stood Still
[rate 4.5]
Corny at times, and the music struck a chord (literally) when something bad was about to happen, but this film is, justifiably so, a classic. Soviet-era paranoia at its finest. Relevant today too, in a different sense though.

Moulin Rouge
[rate 5]
Beautiful acting, singing, dance, effects, colours, Moulin Rouge is most definitely a Baz Luhrmann film. I enjoyed his Romeo + Juliet, so its no surprise I liked this too. Would make a good stage show.

If I think of more I forgot to star from the past month or so, I’ll edit this.

For now, huzzah!

Overheard TV ad -

Kelsey Grammar plays the Angel of Death in an all new MEDIUM

Yeah, I don’t think I need to say anything more.
